John Daniell is a journalist, podcast producer, and former professional rugby player. He and Noelle McCarthy make podcasts together as Bird of Paradise Productions. In 2021, John co-produced and presented He’ll Be Right, a podcast about contemporary masculinity. -

To date, Altbays.NZ has released 240+ podcast episodes, and amassed 30k+ followers and nearly a million likes on TikTok. They also publish Coromandel community magazine Coromind. Leo & Taylor take the stage to tell the Altbays story, offering insight into their production and promotion processes.

A strong local podcast industry is good for all of us.”
